What Is This Site?
This site is where I will be publishing my voter guides. I have been writing them for myself, and giving them to family and friends since 2004. But now I want to share them with everyone who may be interested. I will only be writing the guides for the candidates that are up for election in my polling place. I will not be doing research on candidates I cant vote for. I am simply doing this because I want to share all the work I put into these guides with people that may not have the time. I try to be as unbiased as possible, to allow people to make up their own minds as to who they wish to vote for. My goal is not political, but simply to create a populous of informed voters! My guides are more in-depth than ones provided by newspapers and such, but more condensed than having to read a candidate's entire webpage. I hope people find this helpful! ~Laura
Here are websites that you may find helpful in finding info on candidates no matter where you live:

Places you can find out who/what is on your Ballot include:
-Your local League of Women Voters chapter
-Your local newspaper
-Your county government elections dept-they can send you a sample ballot (not until very close to the election though), and also are your best bet for finding out what district you live in! Districts may change every decade after the census, so they may not be the same as what's printed on our voter card if a census has taken place since you registered!

You may register to vote BEFORE you are technically eligible to vote, as long as you will be eligible by election day. For example, you may register when you are still 17 as long as you will be 18 by election day. This may be important to note if you have a Spring or Fall birthday.
